FAQ’s for AK-PA’s Virtual CE event, Culturally Responsive Cognitive Behavior Therapy: Tips, Tools, & Techniques Presented by Pam Hays Ph.D.
This workshop is presented by AK-PA and a coalition of over 15 State, Provincial and Territorial Psychological Associations.

In this workshop, you’ll learn a groundbreaking framework for integrating multicultural considerations into psychotherapy. The framework begins with the ADDRESSING acronym which highlights marginalized communities related to Age and generational influences, Developmental or other Disability, Religion and spirituality, Ethnic and racialized identity, Socioeconomic status, Sexual orientation, Indigenous heritage, National origin, and Gender. You will learn six absolute essentials for culturally responsive practice, and how to use the Cultural Self-Assessment to pinpoint your learning edges. You’ll acquire practical, strengths-oriented strategies to ensure accurate, helpful, and culturally responsive assessments. And you will learn practical strategies, tools, and techniques for
facilitating culturally responsive therapy. Specific tools include the Personal Strengths Inventory, Compassion Voice, Wise Elder, the Most
Generous Interpretation Technique, and more.
For those who want to provide CE certificates from their state, they are responsible for approving the CE Application & creating a registration page in order to give out certificates. SPTAs doing their own registration will equally split the speaker’s fee of $3750.00 – we anticipate 10 states to participate.
We will provide the CE application for states who want to approve the CE and provide certificates. We provide the Zoom link. We will also provide the certificate for any out-of-state attendee that registers through the Alaska event page and split the registration fee 50%
Alaska and any state that wants to retain all of the registration fees.

No, the presenter requests no recording
There is no pricing coordination. Most states will have non-member or out of state registration fees that will most likely be higher than the regular in state member registration fee.

Presenter + admin fees:We are at 19 participating states which puts the current presenter fee at $197.37 per state + $100 admin fee. The total is $297.37 which is less than the $375 that you may have budgeted for the presenter fee in the beginning.
CE Certificate fees: If a state would like AK-PA to issue certificates we will charge $4 per certificate.
