About AKPAGS

AK-PA Graduate Students (AKPAGS) representatives have served as a liason between the AK-PA Board and Alaska’s psychology graduate students since 2006, helping to give students a stronger voice within AK-PA and advocating for student issues. Current representatives can be found on the Board of Directors page.

AKPAGS provides opportunities for student leadership development and facilitates dialogue between AK-PA student members and members of the professional community. Core events hosted by AKPAGS are the Fifth Friday Socials. Visit our Fifth Friday Socials page to learn more about these unique events, developed to connect the student and professional communities.

Student Research Grants

The Alaska Psychological Association offers two $500 grants each year to support undergraduate and graduate student research and community service projects in the field of psychology. Selected students are awarded at the AK-PA Annual meeting, and present their findings at the following year’s Annual Meeting.
