Erica Coady, Ph.D., ABPP-CN
Clinical Neuropsychologist

Erica Coady was born and raised in Alaska. Her early years were spent living in Nome where her father worked as a wildlife biologist and she grew up fishing in the rain, playing in the mud, and flying around the state in the backseat of her parents’ Cessna 180. When she was in middle school her family moved to Fairbanks where she graduated high school. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in psychology and criminal justice from Gustavus Adolphus College, and her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Seattle Pacific University, an APA-accredited program where she developed a passion for brain/behavior relationships through several years working and training at the Harborview Medical Center Epilepsy Center. She completed her internship at the University of Kansas, School of Medicine in Wichita, an APA-approved neuropsychology-focused training program. She completed her two-year neuropsychology post-doctoral fellowship at the University of California, Los Angeles Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior, where she served as Chief Fellow. After beginning her career at a surgical epilepsy program in the Midwest, the lure of returning to Alaska was overwhelming, and she returned “home” in 2011, where she has worked for Providence Alaska Medical Center as a clinical neuropsychologist. She achieved board certification through the American Board of Professional Psychology in Clinical Neuropsychology and enjoys working with adults of all ages. She currently works part-time at PAMC as she attempts to balance a career with being a mom to three young girls, including a 4-year-old and 2-year-old twins. When she isn’t working or trying to catch up on mountains of laundry, she enjoys running, hiking, biking, and occasionally skiing, traveling and exploring the outdoors with her family, and playing her baby grand piano.
