On Sept 7, 2024, AK-PA held its Annual Meeting and Awards Luncheon. The annual meeting featured APA’s CEO, Arthur C Evans, PhD as the keynote speaker. His keynote presentation on Population Health provided a look at changing the nation’s approach to behavioral health. The annual meeting also featured a presentation of the Anchorage Fire department Mobile Crisis Team by Jennifer Pierce, LPC-S Doctoral Candidate in Clinical-Community Psychology at UAA. Executive Director, Marvo Reguindin, provided an overview of AK-PA’s membership and finances to round out the Annual Meeting. The AK-PA Psychology Awards were presented after the Annual Meeting. Prior to the Annual Meeting Dr & Mrs Evans also met with staff of University Alaska Anchorage and elders from Alaska Pacific University; they also met with Psychology students of both UAA and APU. Before leaving Alaska, the AK-PA board was able to find time to visit with the Evans’ during dinner.
