Nominations for the 2023-2025 Board President-Elect and Treasurer

If you are interested to actively serve, represent, and support the mission of the Alaska Psychological Association as President-Elect or Treasurer we welcome you to self-nominate or submit the name of a colleague for nomination. To nominate a colleague you must inform them of the nomination and they must agree to be on the ballot. Nominees must an AK-PA member in good standing.
We are holding a special election in order to be compliant with the state of Alaska's non-profit reporting. For this election, the President-Elect and Treasurer term will end August 15, 2025.
We welcome individuals with a desire to become part of a dynamic board that is committed to seeking ways to support the mental well-being of all Alaskans.

President-Elect
The President-Elect assumes and performs the duties of the President in their absence. The President-Elect also assumes the duties of Secretary or Treasurer should these Board Members be absent. The President-Elect succeeds the President at the termination of the President's term of office. The President-Elect's term is two years.
Qualifications: The president represents AK-PA at American Psychological Association conferences and candidates must have a doctoral degree.
Treasurer
The Treasurer is custodian of the Association funds, responsible for deposits and disbursements. The Treasurer also provides accounting of the Association's financial activity and status. The Treasurer's term is two years.
Schedule
The nomination deadline is Wednesday, Sept. 20 at 11:59 pm with all persons being informed they have been nominated by Friday, Sept. 22.
Ballots for board elections will be sent electronically to AK-PA members on September 25 and will end Sept. 30, 2023 at 11:59 pm. Ballots will also include names of recently appointed board members.
