HIPAA for Psychologists Now Available
Facilitates Compliance with
the HIPAA Privacy Rule
The APA Practice Organization and the APA Insurance Trust have
developed a product that is available in an online or CD-ROM version. This
product, HIPAA for Psychologists, will facilitate compliance with the
HIPAA Privacy Rule. HIPAA for Psychologists includes all the
state-specific information, forms, policies, and procedures you need to become
HIPAA compliant by the April 14, 2003 deadline.
- Continuing Education Test and Special Discounts: You
can receive four hours of continuing education credit from an APA-approved CE
sponsor and a discount on Trust-sponsored Professional Liability Insurance for
successfully completing the course and passing the exam.
- Price of HIPAA for Psychologists: The cost
for HIPAA for Psychologists is very competitive and offers early
purchase deep discount pricing. APA members who pay the Special Assessment
dues or psychologists insured under the Trust-sponsored Professional Liability
Program can purchase HIPAA for Psychologists at an early discount
price of $175. For other APA members the early discount price is $325.
Psychologists who do not belong to APA will be charged the full retail price
of $550. A CD-ROM version is available for an extra $25 to cover the
