Along with the annual business meeting and continuing education event, we often have an awards banquet to recognize excellence and celebrate our colleagueship.  Among the awards are the Psychologically Healthy Workplace Award, Lifetime Achievement Award, Achievement of a Lifetime Award, the Cultural Humanitarian Award, the Friend of Psychology Award, and recognition of and appreciation for outgoing members of the Board of Directors.

The 2007 Awards Banquet was held at the Anchorage Museum with catering by Marx Bros.  All AK-PA members are invited to attend.

Dr. Martin Atrops

Introduces the Psychologically Healthy Workplace Awards ceremony at the Anchorage Museum on November 18th, 2007.

Dr. David Ballard

introduces the concepts behind the Psychologically Healthy Workplace Award.

Doug North,

president of Alaska Pacific University, enthusiastically describes some of the qualities unique to the work environment he helped to create.

receives the AK-PA Humanitarian Award (in absentia), presented by Dr. Denise Dillard accompanied by Dr. Robert Lane.

displays the agenda for a single meeting of the APA Council of Representatives as he prepares to honor Dr. Joel Wieman.

Dr. Joel Wieman

receives recognition for his service as AK-PA's representative to the APA Council of Representatives.

Dr. Ellen Cole

receives recognition for her past contribution as President of the Association from Dr. David Wilcox, the current President.

Dr. Paul Craig

receives the 2007 Lifetime Acheivement Award for his long and varied contribution to the field of psychology, to AK-PA, and to APA.
