Susan LaGrande, Ph.D.

Dr. Susan LaGrande has been providing mental health services in Alaska since 1983. She has been in independent clinical practice since 1989, providing services to adolescents, adults, couples, and families. She has conducted numerous workshops and trainings in the area of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Stress Management, Women and Depression, Internet Enticement of Children, Sexual Abuse and Effects on Development, Social Aggression in Adolescent Girls, Body Image and Eating Disorders in Adolescent Girls, Cancer and Sexuality, Women's Sexual Health Issues, Women and Sexual Desire, and Normal Sexual Development in Children and Adolescents. Dr. LaGrande is one of two AASECT certified sex therapists in Alaska and serves as the regional representative of that organization. She has served as an adjunct professor at both UAA and APU. She is a member of APA Divisions of Women and Psychology and International Psychology. She is a member of AASECT, The International Society for Study of Women's Sexual Health, and The Society Scientific Study of Sexuality.
