Avey
Psychology Ph.D. Graduate Student, University of Alaska Anchorage
Jaedon earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from UAF in 2005 and
master's in clinical psychology from UAA in 2009. As a PhD candidate,
he is finishing his fourth year in the Joint UAF-UAA Clinical-Community
Psychology Doctoral Program with rural indigenous emphasis. Throughout
his graduate education, he has been a research assistant at the Center
for Behavioral Health Research and Services and consultant for the
Alaska Psychiatric Institute’s Telebehavioral Health Services. As a
clinician, he has worked at the University’s Psychological Services
Center, at Anchorage’s Veteran’s Affairs office, and at Anchorage
Community Mental Health. Currently, he is instructing clinical
psychology UAA. His professional interests include telehealth,
psychological testing and assessment, rural health issues, and
multicultural diversity. In addition to AK-PA, Jaedon holds positions in
UAA’s Graduate Student Association (GSA) and the Anchorage University
Kiwanis Club.
