Christine Sam, M.S.

Christine SamChristine Sam completed her Masters of Science in Counseling Psychology at APU in May 2002.  Prior to completing her degree she worked in social services both in Canada and in Alaska.  She held a variety of positions always with a focus on women and children.  Christine is particularly interested in the impact of gender and culture on how individuals assign meaning to their life's experiences.  More recently Christine has become fascinated by the interplay of nature and nurture.  More specifically by how neurology is affected by environment, and in turn how individuals and their environment respond to neurological challenges.  Currently Christine works as a Clinical Therapist in Community Programs at Alaska Children's Services.
